Our Commitment to Accessibility
ClaimPress Inc. is committed to ensuring that our website and services are accessible to all people, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that everyone — regardless of ability — deserves equal access to information about their insurance rights and the public adjusting services available to them.
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of claimpress.com and to ensure that it conforms to recognized international accessibility standards. This statement reflects our current status and our ongoing commitment to improvement.
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We treat it as an ongoing responsibility and integrate accessibility review into our website development and content publishing processes.
Accessibility Standard
Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as interpreted by U.S. federal courts and the Department of Justice, and is the benchmark used in most U.S. website accessibility litigation and compliance guidance.
WCAG 2.1 is organized around four core principles — that web content must be:
- Perceivable — Information and interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive, including through assistive technologies such as screen readers.
- Operable — Interface components and navigation must be operable, including by keyboard alone without requiring a mouse.
- Understandable — Information and the operation of the interface must be understandable, with clear language and predictable behavior.
- Robust — Content must be robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including current and future assistive technologies.
Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partial conformance means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. The table below summarizes the conformance status of major site components.
| Site Area | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Site navigation & header | In Progress | Keyboard navigation functional; ARIA labels and focus indicators being refined |
| Service & damage type pages | In Progress | Page structure, headings, and landmark regions present; form label associations being updated |
| Contact & lead capture forms | In Progress | Form fields currently use placeholder text only; visible labels and error messages being added |
| FAQ accordions | In Progress | Button elements used correctly; aria-expanded attributes being added |
| Privacy Policy page | Compliant | Semantic structure, labeled navigation, readable contrast, no interactive barriers |
| Terms of Service page | Compliant | Semantic structure, labeled navigation, readable contrast, no interactive barriers |
| Accessibility Statement (this page) | Compliant | Skip link, ARIA landmarks, labeled forms, focus-visible styles, reduced motion support |
| Images & icons | In Progress | Decorative SVG icons being marked with aria-hidden="true"; meaningful images receiving alt text |
| Color contrast | In Progress | Primary text and headings meet 4.5:1 ratio; some muted text combinations being reviewed |
| Mobile / responsive layout | Compliant | Content reflows at all viewport sizes without horizontal scrolling |
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following accessibility limitations currently present on this website. We are actively working to resolve each one. If you encounter any of these issues and need assistance in the meantime, please use the contact information in Section 8 below.
- Form labels: Hero and CTA contact forms on service pages use placeholder text in lieu of visible
<label>elements. Users relying on screen readers may not receive full field descriptions. We are updating all forms to include persistent visible labels. - FAQ aria-expanded: FAQ toggle buttons do not currently include
aria-expandedstate indicators. Screen reader users may not be informed whether an answer panel is open or closed. This fix is scheduled for the next site update. - Decorative icon markup: Some SVG icons used decoratively do not yet carry
aria-hidden="true"markup, which may cause screen readers to announce unnecessary content. We are auditing and updating all icon usage. - Muted text contrast: Certain secondary text elements using our muted gray palette (
#64748b) may fall below the WCAG 4.5:1 contrast ratio requirement at small sizes. We are reviewing and adjusting affected text elements. - Skip navigation link: A skip-to-main-content link has been implemented on this page and legal pages. It is being added to all remaining page templates.
- Animation: Some decorative animations (such as pulsing badge indicators) do not yet fully respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query on all pages. This is being corrected site-wide.
Accessibility Features Currently Implemented
The following accessibility features are already in place across all or most pages of this website:
- Semantic HTML structure — Pages use appropriate heading hierarchy (
h1throughh3), landmark regions (<main>,<nav>,<footer>), and structured list elements. - Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are reachable and operable by keyboard alone using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Space.
- Focus-visible styles — Keyboard focus indicators are visible on interactive elements across legal and accessibility pages, with a 3px solid outline using our primary blue color.
- Responsive design — All pages reflow gracefully at any viewport size from 320px upward, without loss of content or functionality, and without requiring horizontal scrolling.
- No keyboard traps — No interactive component traps keyboard focus; users can always navigate away using standard keyboard controls.
- Consistent navigation — The site header, navigation menu, and footer appear consistently in the same location and order on all pages.
- Descriptive link text — Links use descriptive text that identifies the destination or purpose without relying on surrounding context.
- Text resizing — All text can be resized up to 200% using browser zoom without loss of content or functionality.
- No auto-playing media — This website contains no auto-playing audio or video content.
- No seizure-triggering content — No content flashes more than three times per second.
